Adventure Wedding & Elopement Photography in the Pacific Northwest
We aren’t doing traditional. We’re doing you.
Your best days are spent adventuring together, so why should your wedding day be any different?
I’ll help you craft a day that reflects the life you’ve built together — so you can say ‘I do’ while skiing off Mt. Baker, riding singletrack at Galbraith, or surrounded by family and friends at your favorite alpine lake.
I document the full scale of your adventure —the laughter, joy, unscripted moments, and quiet intimacy — all while handling the logistics so you can be fully present.
Let’s plan a celebration that feels like your greatest adventure yet.
Here are a few ways we can make your day unforgettable:
Backcountry skiing & splitboarding: Earn your turns for a sunrise ceremony and a first dance through untracked powder.
Mountain biking: Say I do before riding high-country ridgelines or dropping into loamy singletrack.
Rock climbing: Celebrate your love with a multi-pitch alpine climb and exchange rings at the anchor.
Hiking & backpacking: Share the moment with your inner circle at your favorite alpine meadow or mountaintop lookout.
Backyard & basecamp: Toast to your future with a cozy, intentional ceremony that brings your entire community together.
Your love story doesn’t stop at the trailhead —and neither do I.
I specialize in technical adventure elopements for couples who feel most at home in the mountains and in motion. Whether you’re dreaming of exchanging vows on the skin track or singletrack, I handle the logistics and the lens so you can focus on the experience.
If tying the knot involves bringing family and friends along for the ride, I’ll help you find accessible vistas or plan an intimate backyard celebration so you can share the magic of the Pacific Northwest without leaving anyone behind.
Hi, I’m Michael — your sidekick in crafting a wedding day that’s totally you.
You can think of me as equal parts adventure photographer, logistics wizard, and storyteller who always knows where to find the best light.
I’m here to keep the vibes high and stress low while we document the magic that makes your relationship special. I want to create a space where you can be yourselves and I’ll fade into the background to capture the experience.
Let’s build a day you’ll still be talking about on your fiftieth anniversary.

I’m based in Bellingham, Washington and travel throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and southwest British Columbia. If you want to go outside the PNW, I’m game for that, too!

Yes! I love helping couples find the perfect location to match your vision. Whether you want to link turns off a summit, climb a splitter granite face, or hike into secluded old-growth, I’ll come up with a list of possibilities and help you narrow it down. I also do all the legwork of scouting locations, navigating permits, and figuring out when to go to get the best light.
-
Absolutely! We can plan a ‘just us’ adventure in the morning — skiing, riding, climbing, or hiking — then meet your family at a trailhead, cabin, backyard, or brewery for a ceremony and celebration in the afternoon. Or we can have a ceremony with family one day and a backcountry adventure another day.

Moody weather can make for great photos…up to a point My rule of thumb is that I want us to be safe and have fun. If the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll adjust. I’m flexible with rescheduling (there’s no fee) and I always have a Plan B ready to go.

I’m not. There’s so much I love about being a wedding photographer, but social media just isn’t one of those things. So, I’ve opted out. Check out my blog to see more photos from my recent work or reach out to chat more about how I can help you capture your perfect wedding day.

Yes! I try to be flexible and leave some extra room in my schedule for spontaneous bookings. Plus, cancellations happen and plans change, so it’s definitely worth reaching out!
